The College of Humanities and Legal Studies, UCC, has organised a ceremonial cocktail to celebrate its First Class graduands.   

The event was also to congratulate and appreciate the graduands for their academic hard work.
    

Words of Advice from Deans

The Dean, Faculty of Arts, Prof. Kwame Osei Kwarteng, advised the graduands to uphold integrity, truthfulness, honesty, and obedience in whatever they do and wherever they find themselves.
The Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Akwasi Kumi-Kyereme, urged the graduands to be humble themselves in all their endeavours, especially to their superiors and colleagues. He again encouraged them to dream big with good foresight.

The Dean, School of Economics, Dr. Emmanuel Ekow Asmah congratulated them on their hard work, teamwork, and exuberance for having kept the resilience in academic excellence. 
Ms. Herta Borley Adrah, of the Department of Accounting, who represented the graduands, commended the leadership of the College for the honour given them and promised that they would be responsible, work hard and serve as good ambassadors of UCC.     

Acknowledging the effort of the graduands, the Provost, Prof. Francis Eric Amuquandoh, commended their efforts and determination that had earned them their current status as first-class students. “However, first class is a means, not an end, therefore, you need to be respectful in your careers, in order to be respectable,” he said. Prof. Amuquandoh encouraged them to pursue postgraduate degrees in UCC, and think of ways to give back to their Alma Mater.

In attendance were some Deans of Faculties and Schools, Heads of Department, the College Registrar, the College Registrar, Dr. Alexis Akanson, Assistant Registrars, and lecturers from the College of Humanities and Legal Studies.
