The University of Cape Coast (UCC) and Dominion University College (DUC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at a short ceremony on campus. The MoU serves as a reference document that makes UCC a mentor institution to DUC. Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D. D. Kuupole commended DUC for entering into affiliation with UCC. He noted that affiliation is about partnership and therefore the two institutions should work towards achieving results. The Vice-Chancellor gave the assurance that UCC will nurture DUC to grow and live up to expectation, adding “together we shall transform challenges into opportunities and stumbling blocks to stepping stones.” On his part, the President of DUC, Prof. W. Gagakuma expressed appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for the warm reception. He pledged that DUC would abide by the terms of the MoU to help build a strong relationship with UCC. The Vice-Chancellor and President of DUC signed the MoU for their respective institutions. Present at the signing ceremony were the Registrar, Mr. John Kofi Nyan; Ag. Director, Academic Affairs, Mr. Jeff T. Onyame; Ag. Director Public Affairs; Major Kofi Baah-Bentum (rtd) and Junior Assistant Registrar, Institutional Affiliation Office, Mr. Justice Agyenim Boateng. The team from DUC comprised the Registrar, Mr. David Asante and the External Affairs Officer, Madam Philomena Ekpeh Morkley.
