The Ministry of Energy, has presented an assortment of street-lighting equipment to the University for installation on campus. The donation was as a result of a special arrangement by the Vice-Chancellor to ensure that the campus was well illuminated to either prevent crime or reduce it to the minimum. The items were presented by officials from the Materials Management Unit of the Ministry of Energy and were received by staff from the Electricity Section and the Monitoring and Evaluation Unit of the University.
The items received were 800 units of 150W LED streetlights with complete arms, photocell, bolts, nuts and washers, 1500 units of 13W LED bulbs, 1000 units of 9W LED bulbs and 1500 units of 6W LED bulbs.
