The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, has inspected progress of work at the College of Distance Education (CoDE) Training Resource Centre at Agona Nyakrom in the Central Region. The Training Resource Centre has 200 room accommodation including 16 suites, auditoriums, seminar rooms and other facilities. The project when completed would serve as a training and marking centre for the College. Conducting the Vice-Chancellor and other officials of the University round the site, the Engineer in-charge of the project, Francis Baah said the structure was 76% complete and subject to availability of funds, it could be completed in four months. The Vice-Chancellor expressed the hope that the contractors would do a good job and also complete within the period they have promised. The Vice-Chancellor was accompanied by the Registrar Mr. John Kofi Nyan, Director of Physical Development and Estate Management, Mr. Philip Ntim; Deputy Director of Finance, Mr. Francis Obeng and Senior Assistant Registrar at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Mrs. Georgina Asi Owusu. Construction of the project began in 2012.
