GAUA-UCC Holds Annual General Meeting

Members of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA), University of Cape Coast (UCC) branch, have held their Annual General Meeting (AGM) to review the branch’s activities over the past year and outline priorities for the year ahead.

Key issues included the presentation of the branch’s audited financial statements for the 2024/2025 financial year and updates from the labour front. These updates covered ongoing discussions and engagements aimed at addressing matters affecting university administrators at both institutional and national levels.

The AGM also provided an opportunity for members to discuss the payment of Book allowance, highlighting its importance as part of professional support for university administrators. In addition, members reviewed plans for the 2026 GAUA national congress, emphasizing the need for sustained preparation and active participation by all members.

Speaking at the event, GAUA-UCC President Felix Adu-Poku urged members to remain committed to professional development. He noted that continuous learning was crucial not only for personal career growth but also for enhancing performance and productivity in their various roles.

Mr. Adu-Poku further encouraged members to work harder and deliver effectively, noting that such dedication strengthens the profession and positively impacts the university's work.

He also appealed to members to support one another in their professional journeys, explaining that shared encouragement and knowledge exchange help administrators build stronger competence, confidence, and long-term career success.

The AGM ended with members' renewed commitment to advance the association's course and strengthen its work towards the 2026 national congress.
