A delegation from the Institute of Education, University of Cape Coast (UCC), has undertaken a monitoring and assessment visit to Bole College of Education, as part of the University's institutional affiliation process.
The assessment, which is a mandatory requirement under GTEC's regulatory framework for tertiary institutions seeking affiliation, is also an integral component of UCC's quality assurance mechanisms, ensuring that prospective affiliate institutions meet the University's academic and institutional standards.
The delegation, comprising Prof. (Mrs.) Alfredina Z. P. Kuupole, Prof. Christopher Y. Kwaah, and Mr. Ebenezer Dzimpa Effisah visited the College to evaluate its preparedness to meet the academic and institutional requirements for affiliation with the Institute of Education, UCC.
The monitoring exercise seeks to ascertain that prospective affiliate institutions have the appropriate infrastructure, governance structures, academic resources, staffing, and operational capacity to deliver quality teacher education in line with national regulatory standards and UCC's quality assurance requirements.
During the visit, the team assessed key areas of the College's operations. It engaged the management and staff on issues relating to academic programmes, institutional governance, facilities, and compliance with UCC's affiliation requirements.
The outcome of the assessment will contribute to the University's determination of Bole College of Education's readiness for institutional affiliation with the Institute of Education, University of Cape Coast.
