A former Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Nana Sam Brew-Butler, has donated over 300 copies of diabetes-related books to the School of Medical Sciences-UCC.
The donation, held on the premises of the H.N. Amonoo-Koufie Medical Village, was to enhance reading culture among medical students and keep them abreast of the scourge of diabetes.
Making the presentation, Nana Sam Brew-Butler said that his niece, who is called Dr. Yakoba Atiase, an expert in diabetes, wrote the book entitled, “Let’s Talk Diabetes.
In view of that, he found it prudent to donate some of the books to the School of Medical Sciences.
