The University of Cape Coast (UCC) Hospital received a donation of medical and mobility equipment from a family based in the United Kingdom and the United States who wish to remain anonymous.
The family donated through the Lake Missionary and Charity Foundation, founded by Mr. Anthony Kojo Bempong.
The items included beds, wheelchairs for adults and children, foldable walkers, crutches, plastic basins, bed rails, metal bed frames, and folded metal frames.
Mr. Anthony Kojo Bempong, the charity’s founder, said the organization is guided by a commitment to helping people in need.
Receiving the items, the Director of the Directorate of University Health Service (DHUS), Dr. James Kojo Prah, expressed gratitude to the anonymous donors and assured them that the equipment would be put to good use to benefit patients.
He also encouraged the family to continue with its philanthropic endeavours.
