The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D. D. Kuupole has called on the Chief Executive of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA), Ms. Priscilla Arhin in her office.
The visit was to discuss issues of mutual benefit to the CCMA and the University.
Welcoming the Vice-Chancellor, Ms. Arhin said she was highly honoured for the visit. She was confident that the assembly and university will continue to collaborate in matters concerning the two institutions.
For his part, the Vice-Chancellor commended the MCE for showing interest in the affairs of the University and noted that the visit was to deepen the existing relationship between the CCMA and UCC. The Assembly has done a lot for the University even though, they are indication of positive things to come in the not too distant future, he added.
He appealed to the MCE for the rehabilitation of roads leading to the new stadium since the volume of traffic to the facility would increase upon completion.
Present at the meeting were the Registrar, Mr. John Kofi Nyan; Ag. Director, Directorate of Public Affairs, Major Kofi Baah-Bentum(rtd) and Assistant Registrar, Office of the Vice-Chancellor, Mr. Opoku Oku Afari.
