The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ghartey Ampiah, has called on Osabarima Kwesi Atta II, the Paramount Chief of Oguaa Traditional Area, at his Palace. The visit was to officially introduce himself to the Omanhen, as well as his sub-chiefs and elders, to seek his blessings and support during his tenure as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast. The Oguaa Manhen, after welcoming the Vice-Chancellor and his accompanying delegation, congratulated Prof. Ampiah on his appointment . He assured the Vice-Chancellor that Oguaman was solidly behind him and would support him to succeed like his predecessors. He called on the Vice-Chancellor to continue the work of his predecessors so that the University would see massive transformation.
