Members of the Sam Jonah Library Management have paid a courtesy visit to the Acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Prof. Denis Worlanyo Aheto, to congratulate him following his appointment as Vice-Chancellor.

The six- member delegation was led by the University Librarian, Dr. Mac-Anthony Cobblah.

Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Cobblah noted that there were some outstanding works in the library and called on him to use his good offices to address these concerns.

He said the library also wanted to set up an inclusive library for students with disabilities.

“We want to partner with you to advance the objectives of the library and align with your vision so that by the time you leave office, we can point to shared legacies,” he said.

In response, Prof. Aheto thanked the delegation for the visit, describing  it as thoughtful and encouraging.

He assured the delegation of his unflinching support for the Sam Jonah Library.

The Acting Vice-Chancellor plans to collaborate with stakeholders on the development of the Atta Mills Memorial Library, which was under the custody of the university.
